THE IRON CROSS | 45 x 45 mm | Chain eye 7 mm | double-sided design | 925 Sterling Silver plating (Electro-plating)

After the sale of the temporary version of the EK, which we have been producing since 2010, here is a new edition in the newly designed original look. Like the original from the Berliner Schinkel, this replica is preupically correct. A very valid item that will remain in our stock for a long time.

Definition: The Iron Cross (EK) was originally a Prussian, later German war award, which was donated by the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm III on 10 March 1813 in Wroclaw for the course of the wars of liberation in three classes. The first Iron Cross was awarded by Frederick William III personally to his late wife Luise posthumously.

The Foundation of the Iron Cross repeated King William I of Prussia with the outbreak of the Franco-Prussian War on 19 July 1870. Emperor Wilhelm II renewed the foundation in his capacity as Prussian king on 8 August 1914 and made the Iron Cross through his broad-based awarding practice to a quasi-German order. With the fourth foundation at the beginning of the Second World War, the Iron Cross officially became a German award on September 1, 1939, which was initially to be awarded in four classes.
